Work on the Namche Dental Clinic stopped during the winter months as it is impossible to build at such high altitude during the coldest months. Work commenced in March and we are very happy to announce the building is now complete. The construction crew is in the process of finishing the interior.
Once the Dental Clinic is fully equipped which will take a few more months the Sherpa’s and other Nepali’s that live in the area will once again receive the high quality dental care that has so improved their lives since its inception in 1991.
The construction of the new clinic was funded by The American Himalayan Foundation and an $8500 grant from WeHelpNepal. We thank all of our generous donors for supporting this project.
Relief aid, while well intentioned, often ends up in the pockets of corrupt local bureaucrats and/or multinational contracts, with very little reaching the people that actually need it. Ensure that your contributions reach those in need.
