The Health and Development Society of Nepal has put together a moving picture montage of their work since the earthquake, from health shelters to dental camps in affected areas. You can watch the video below. We Help Nepal is continuing to support their work.
Over the past two months, HDSN has conducted clinics and delivered medical supplies to thousands of Nepalis. At the camps, their focus is on general oral health check up and screening of the affected people, treatment of all the necessary affected people in the shelter areas in the form of scaling, extractions, fluoride applications and restorations, referral to the needy people to HDSN clinic for treatment, and psychosocial counselling and activities for the people in these shelter areas. Relief aid, while well intentioned, often ends up in the pockets of corrupt local bureaucrats and/or multinational contracts, with very little reaching the people that actually need it. Ensure that your contributions reach those in need.
